Jack’s Casino has been announced as the new title sponsor of the World Series of Darts Finals, with the field now finalised for the season-ending tournament at AFAS Live in Amsterdam from November 1-3.
Entertainment company JVH is a market leader in the Dutch gaming industry, with their Jack’s Casino brand set to support the World Series of Darts Finals’ inaugural visit to the Netherlands next month under a new three-year deal.
The Jack’s Casino World Series of Darts Finals will feature at least Dutch players, headlined by World Champion Michael van Gerwen and the legendary Raymond van Barneveld, who will be competing in his final televised tournament in the Netherlands ahead of his retirement.
Eric Olders, CEO of JVH gaming & entertainment, the parent company of Jack’s Casino, said: “We are very pleased with the partnership with PDC and see it as an excellent opportunity to further promote Jack’s Casino to a suitable audience.
“A visit to one of our casinos has many similarities with darts. You get to play games that are both relaxing and exciting, with entertainment, the atmosphere and the pleasant circumstances that fit in seamlessly.
“We will surprise dart fans with special promotions in AFAS Live, via our online channels and of course in the casinos.”
PDC Chief Executive Matthew Porter added: “This is an ideal fit for us that a Dutch company has committed itself to a prestigious event, through which we hope to further grow this already popular sport in the Netherlands.
“Based on the plans and constructive discussions, I am sure that fans and players will benefit enormously from this collaboration.”
Alongside Van Gerwen and Van Barneveld, three further Dutch players inside the world’s top 32 – Jermaine Wattimena, Jeffrey de Zwaan and Danny Noppert – have also been invited to compete in the Jack’s Casino World Series of Darts Finals.
The top eight players from the final World Series Order of Merit qualified by right and will enter at the second round stage, led by top seed Van Gerwen – the winner in Melbourne and Hamilton.
Brisbane Darts Masters winner Damon Heta joins German Darts Masters winner Peter Wright amongst the seeded players, alongside Rob Cross, Daryl Gurney, Gary Anderson, Van Barneveld, and reigning champion James Wade.
Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price, Mensur Suljovic and Ian White appear as the top four non-qualified players from the PDC Order of Merit, and they are joined in the first round by four qualifiers and eight invited players.
US Darts Masters winner Nathan Aspinall is one of the invited players who will compete in Amsterdam, alongside German Darts Masters finalist Gabriel Clemens, Australian pair Simon Whitlock and Kyle Anderson and recent World Grand Prix finalist Dave Chisnall.
Poland’s Krzysztof Ratajski headlined the four qualifiers to come from Wednesday’s knockout, alongside former European Championship finalist Wayne Jones, 2013 World Youth Championship finalist Ricky Evans and 2017 Players Championship Finals runner-up Jonny Clayton.
