Boxing March 24th, 2021

With the whole world watching, Brains Bioceutical Corp., the undisputed champions of athletic rest and recovery, will get in the ring for the electrifying Povetkin vs. Whyte Interim WBC Heavyweight World Title rematch event this Saturday night (March 27), as they proudly announce that a partnership has been reached with promotional giants Matchroom to place in-ring branding for their THC-free cannabidiol (CBD) products on the canvas and on a corner pad at the event.

Held at the Europa Point Sports Complex in Gibraltar and shown live on Sky Sports Box Office in the UK and on DAZN in all other markets excluding the UK and Ireland (7 p.m. GMT / 3 p.m. ET), Povetkin vs. Whyte II is expected to attract a huge worldwide audience to watch as ‘The Body Snatcher’ Whyte (27-2, 18 KOs) attempts to exact his revenge on Povetkin (36-2-1, 25 KOs) following his shock defeat to the big Russian last August.

In addition to being committed supporters of athletes and events that exemplify their company’s determined spirit, Brains is a global leader of cannabinoid-based pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, holding one of the few licenses for EU-GMP CBD manufacturing in the world.

Ricky Brar, CEO & Chairman, Brains Bioceutical Corp., says he’s happy to be partnering with Matchroom for Povetkin vs. Whyte II.

“Brains is proud to attach its name to this historic night of boxing,” said Brar. “We are committed to supporting athletes around the globe, as well as the clinical research and ongoing studies of all the potential benefits of CBD. Our commitment to providing access to quality, tested, clean products is our top priority.”

Brains Bioceutical will also be in the ring for the event’s supporting bouts, Bermondsey’s Ted Cheeseman (16-2-1, 9 KOs) meets Liverpool’s James Metcalf (21-0, 13 KOs) for the vacant British Super-Welterweight Title, Ipswich Heavyweight talent Fabio Wardley (10-0, 9 KOs) steps-up again against USA’s former World Title challenger Eric Molina (27-6, 19 KOs), Manchester Super-Featherweight Campbell Hatton – son of British fight legend Ricky Hatton – makes his professional debut against Jesus Ruiz, undefeated Welterweights Chris Kongo (12-0, 7 KOs) and Michael McKinson (19-0, 2 KOs) will collide for the WBO Global Title, Heavyweight contender Eric Pfeifer (7-0, 5 KOs) locks horns with Nick Webb (16-2, 12 KOs) and Wembley Super-Featherweight Youssef Khoumari ( 11-0-1, 4 KOs) faces Birmingham’s Kane Baker (14-7).

“I’m delighted to announce Brains Pure CBD as a partner sponsor for this weekend’s unmissable ‘Rumble On The Rock’ in Gibraltar,” said Matchroom Sport Managing Director Eddie Hearn. “The whole world will be watching as Dillian ‘The Body Snatcher’ Whyte attempts to avenge his shock defeat to Russian dangerman Alexander Povetkin last summer at Fight Camp. We are committed to working with the best and BRAINS fit firmly into that category in the market.”

“As one of the only companies tested by leading sports associations, we are looking to expand our footprint across the EU and South America in the coming months,” continued Brar. “With strong partnerships like Matchroom, we are excited for the future of the brand.”

In the US, Brains Pure products are currently available online at brainspure.com and through select retail stores in the UK.
